WEEK FOUR -- Student's Choice

~~~~~
Some of the highlights from 1st Quarter....
The Kindergarteners had ipad centers and are learning MUCH.
The 1st graders worked through several new math apps & drawing apps.
The 2nd graders made books "the Very Hungry 2nd Grader" using the Book Creator App.
The 3rd graders made a tutorial on How to play Zoombini's and we shared the video on YouTube.
Our 4th graders are blogging!!
Our 5th graders made their "What I Love About Calvary imovies" -- which will be shown at Open House.
Our 6th graders created some remarkable landscapes with the Bryce software.
~~~~~

Each Friday, I check http://www.smartappsforkids.com/free-app-of-the-day/
for educational apps for the lab.   They usually have at one or two apps which we can use in the lab.

Have a great day

Welcome to 2015-2016 School Year

Welcome back to the computer lab.
I had a very eventful summer -- attending many conferences and edcamps -- all the time learning new ideas of how to help our students with technology.  It is going to be a great year.

Last week, all 2nd - 6th grade students took the STAR READING test -- so this is officially our first week of learning in the computer lab.

We will be busy -- and here is a glimpse of some of the things we will be learning:

We have 28 dell laptops, 30 Gen 3 ipads, and 2 iMacs.....so we learn in a variety of ways.

I hope you will take time to wander by the computer lab -- or perhaps volunteer to be a computer lab helper!!
It will be a busy, fun, creative place!!

Also -- if you look to the right column, you will see a link to our SYMBALOO page (that is our HOME page on all browsers) for sites we visit frequently and a link to our pinterest page.

Looking forward to sharing more soon!
Miss Wagner

As you know -- we are having GREAT fun with our green wall.......
and over Easter Break -- we have now added a "green window".
Big thanks to Mr. Chris W who painted and framed our window.
I cannot wait to see "the places we will go with this".

Here are 3 pictures --
The first is the green wall before it was frames.
The second is the completed window.
The third is using the green window to add in a background image.

Enjoy!
